Origami Warbler Instructions

The warbler is a loose-knit family of small songbirds, which includes the Japanese Bush Warbler. The origami warbler is a traditional origami that is easy to make.

Start with a square of origami paper, colored side down, as shown below. Fold the top point down to meet the bottom, then unfold.

Then fold corner A to the right to meet corner B. Next, fold corner A back to the left, so that it overlaps the left edge of the piece by about half a centimeter. The exact overlap is not critical.

Now fold corner C down to meet corner D. Then valley fold along the line shown to form one wing:

Repeat on the backside to form the other wing, and your origami bush warbler is complete. You can draw eyes or use stickers to add some realism.
