Money Origami Sunglasses Step 1: Start with a US dollar bill, George Washington side up.
You can also fold this origami using regular origami paper that's been divided into the dollar bill proportions. We've created a separate page to show you how to do that.
Fold dollar bill in half on the horizontal axis. Crease well and unfold.
Money Origami Sunglasses Step 2: Fold the bottom half to the center. Crease well and unfold.
Money Origami Sunglasses Step 3: Fold the top half to the center. Crease well.
Money Origami Sunglasses Step 4: Make a diagonal fold on each end of the dollar bill. The diagonal fold is from the center crease to the top edge.
Points A and B should end up along line X-Y.
Money Origami Sunglasses Step 5: Fold point C to point E.
Fold point D to point F. Crease well.
Money Origami Sunglasses Step 6: Fold the bottom edge to the center.
Money Origami Sunglasses Step 7: Make 2 diagonal folds to bring both ends towards the center.
Money Origami Sunglasses Step 8: Flip dollar bill over.
Fold down the top edge.
Money Origami Sunglasses Step 9: One final step....Make a "curved" horizontal fold as shown. This allows the sunglasses to sit tilted when placed on a table.
Flip dollar bill over and your money origami sunglasses is complete!
