Origami Diamond Star

Origami Diamond Star Step 1: Fold an origami boat base. This is a common origami base that is used as a starting point in many origami so we've written detailed instructions on how to fold this base on a separate page.
Origami Diamond Star Step 2: We now need to make a squash fold. We'll start with the upper right corner. Bring the right side over to the left, pry open the paper and squash it down to form a square.
Origami Diamond Star Step 3: Repeat Step 2 for the other 3 corners so that you get the following.
Origami Diamond Star Step 4: We now need to make a petal fold. This is a common fold in origami so we've also created a separate page with detailed instructions and photos that you can refer to if needed.
Starting with the upper right corner, make a petal fold.
Origami Diamond Star Step 5: Repeat Step 4 for the other 3 corners.
And that's it, your origami diamond star is complete!
