Origami Frog Base
The origami frog base is the foundation needed to fold the popular traditional origami frog.

Origami Frog Base Step 1: Start by folding the origami square base. You should have the following to start with.
Origami Frog Base Step 2: Fold the right edge to meet the center line. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Frog Base Step 3: Pry open the paper and bring the upper layer from the right to the center. Then make a squash fold by pressing the paper flat.
Origami Frog Base Step 4: Fold the upper layer from the right over to the left.
Origami Frog Base Step 5: Repeat Steps 2 to 4 three more times.
When completed, all sides should now look like this.
Origami Frog Base Step 6: Fold both sides to the center. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Frog Base Step 7: Make the horizontal valley fold. Crease well and unfold. As you may notice, we're getting the paper ready to make a petal fold.
Origami Frog Base Step 8: Pry open paper and bring both sides to the center to make a petal fold.
Origami Frog Base Step 9: Repeat Steps 6 to 8 on the other 3 sides to complete your origami frog base.
