Origami Gold Nugget
This origami gold nugget can be used as a Chinese New Year decoration. It is a symbol of wealth, fortune, abundance and success. In Mandarin, it is known as "jin yuan bao" or "yuan bao". You can use gold (or silver) paper to make more realistic nuggets. Fold large and small gold nuggets to make things more interesting!

Origami Gold Nugget Step 1: Start with a 6 inch (15cm) square origami paper, color side down.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 2: Fold the paper in half, but pinch on the edge only to mark the paper.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 3: Now fold the bottom of the paper to meet the mark you just made. Here we named it point A. Once again, only pinch on the edge.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 4: Fold the bottom of the paper to meet point B.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 5: Now fold the top down to meet the bottom edge.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 6: On the right side, bring the top right corner to meet the bottom edge.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 7: Bring the bottom left corner to meet the top edge.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 8: Rotate the paper counter clockwise. We've marked the corners a, b, c so that you can identify them easier.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 9: FLIP paper over.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 10: Fold paper in half.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 11: FLIP paper over again.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 12: Fold paper from the right to left as indicated below and tuck it under.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 13: FLIP paper over. We'll fold the right side over again where indicated and tuck the paper under again.
Origami Gold Nugget Step 14: It's time to shape our gold nugget! Place your fingers at the bottom of the paper and pry it open.
Continue to pry the paper open while flattening the top and your origami gold nugget is complete!
