Origami Modular Spinning Top
Origami modular spinning top is a fun and easy modular toy. It really spins nicely when thrown. You can watch the video at the end of the page to see it in action. Another unique feature of this origami is that it requires 7 unit and forms a heptagon (7-sided shape) when completed!

Origami Modular Spinning Top Step 1: Start with a 6 inch x 6 inch (15cm x 15cm) square origami paper, color side down.
Fold paper in half on the horizontal diagonal axis. Crease well.
Origami Modular Spinning Top Step 2: Fold the top layer A-B down to A-C. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Modular Spinning Top Step 3: Fold point A to point D.
Origami Modular Spinning Top Step 4: Fold the top layer down as shown below. Crease well and unfold.
Origami Modular Spinning Top Step 5: Now, fold the top layer down again like in Step 4. This time, tuck the tip into the pocket.
This completes one unit.
Origami Modular Spinning Top Step 6: Repeat Steps 1 to 5 and make a total of 7 units.
